'Dementia - A Practical Guide for Family Carers'

Colin Williams, a member of Milly’s Foundation, Alderney’s Dementia charity, kindly sent the following message to JAA

We are associates of Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association. For the past three years we have been running training programmes for professionals in the Home Help Service, Connaught Care Home, Mignot Memorial Hospital, other professional services and the general public. Our trainers are from the UK with backgrounds in social work, care homes and training.

The main trainer, Brenda Walker, wrote a book: Dementia - A Practical Guide for Family Carers. We feel the book reflects Brenda’s training style admirably and course attendees have all been impressed by the message and the way it is presented.

JAA has agreed to help promote this book, a copy of which is now available in our Drop-in / Office.

If anyone wishes to order a copy please contact JAA

Any contributions made towards the cost of the book (recommended price £12.99) will be passed on to Milly’s Foundation.
