Carers' Support Programme

St John Ambulance provides four free sessions that may help to make life easier for the carer. One of the sessions on the Caring Role will include advice on the carers' assessment by Social Services.

Other sessions include Prevention of Falls and what to do if an accident happens in the home, Back Care with a practical session on safer handling as well as Stress Management.

The four sessions from 10am until 2pm (including a light lunch) are informative but informal. They are held at St John Ambulance HQ in Midvale Road. Parking, although restricted, is available.

The sessions are held in a friendly atmosphere with a range of information available and the opportunity to meet various speakers from partner organisations.

Please contact Lynn Bouchard on 01534 735611 for details of when the next of these regular courses is being held.
