Friendship Group

Our Friendship Group is held from 10am to 12noon every second Saturday of the month at Sandybrook Day Centre

Rue du Craslin

St. Peter

We also go out for lunch together at different venues on a regular basis.

If you know, or are caring for somebody with dementia, come along and meet others who will understand how you feel. You will also have the opportunity to talk to our staff, in complete confidence, about any worries you may have. People who have a family member or friend in residential care, either in Jersey or the UK, are also welcome.

We often have guest speakers and there is a varied selection of Helpsheets covering all aspects relating to dementia which are free to take away.

If you are caring for someone who cannot be left alone, they are welcome to join in the activities at our Saturday Club  which is run at the same venue each week. You can relax among friends knowing that the person you have brought with you is being well looked after by our fully trained staff.

Taking that first step can be difficult. You may feel apprehensive at first, but we are a very friendly, informal group and although we cannot make dementia better we can try to make life a little easier for you and the people you love.

There is no charge and refreshments are provided.

For more information or to go on our mailing list for regular updates, call the Office on 01534 723519.
